Your local fun tour guide will meet you as you take selfies at the fabulous new Beatles statues on the waterfront and will use the Beatles themed route during an easy 90-minute walking tour to showcase the city centre and the World Heritage Site.
Your Tour Guide will bring the city to life and will answer any questions & everyone will receive a free map of the city centre.
You will see the Liver, Cunard and Port of Liverpool Buildings & visit the Museum of Liverpool which includes the Double Fantasy John Lennon & Yoko Ono exhibition.
There are Hollywood film locations a World Heritage Site and you will see and touch the statues of Billy Fury, Eleanor Rigby, John Lennon, Cilla Black and the Beatles as you explore this vibrant city on route to Mathew Street & the Cavern Club where the Beatles played 292 times between 1961 & 1963.
After the Cavern there are lots of Cafes & souvenir shops and places to buy lunch.
Next, take the lift in the fully accessible Radio City Tower 138m above the city and you will see LFC and EFC stadiums the huge industrial cranes in the Port of Liverpool, you'll see how the £1billion "Liverpool One" retail complex finished in 2008 has beautifully rejoined the Docks to the City. You can see the entire World Heritage Site as well as our two cathedrals the Anglican is the world's 5th largest.
Next, you can use your pre-paid voucher to visit the award-winning Beatles Story in the Albert Docks on an audio guided tour available in 11 languages. Here you will learn the story of John Lennon from his school band called the Quarrymen in 1957 to the colossal success in America after the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show and "Beatlemania" was invented! You can also see the piano John Lennon played in "Imagine". There is also an extensive souvenir shop and cafe. The second venue of the Beatles Story is located at the Pier Head which you can visit when you go for your River Cruise.
After the Beatles story its a short enjoyable walk through the covered Colonnades area of the historic Albert Docks, passing the Tate Gallery and the Museum of Liverpool to the Mersey Ferry Terminal.
You can use your voucher to take any River Cruise which sails on the hour and we suggest for example that you take the 15:00 or 16:00 River Cruise and then you can disembark at Woodside Ferry Terminal and your ticket allows you to visit the U-boat story museum. If you decide to stay on the Famous Mersey Ferry then the total River Cruise which sales south up the river towards Liverpool John Lennon Airport and then heads north towards the Port of Liverpool, takes 1-hour and if therefore you had taken the 16:00 River Cruise you would be back in Liverpool at the famous Beatles statues at 17:00.
This is also a perfect shore excursion from the Liverpool Cruise Terminal which is less than 5 minutes’ walk to the starting point.
